... of mollusks. This interpretation does make sense because the so-called inscriptions were almost completely covered by the "mortar"-- hardly a good way to convey messages! Also, the inscriptions themselves do not really look regular enough to be man-made. For these and other reasons, the Chatata wall now seems more of a geological curiosity rather than an archeological anomaly. Nevertheless, at least two nagging questions remain: Why were there regularly placed stones on the surface over the wall? Early investigators also reported seeing inscriptions of animals, the swastika, the serpent symbol, and other recognized Indian symbology. Whatever happened to these inscriptions? ... - a small circle within a larger circle with one protruding shaft pointing downward from the bottom. Various mythic themes find an explanation in Talbott's scheme. For instance, why would the ancient sun god be said to have possessed a single central eye and why was this eye identified as the goddess? Why was this eye said to have carried an unborn hero as its pupil? And why was this eye described as having left its place to scourge creation in the form of a fiery serpent? What does a scallop shell, a swastika, a peacock plume, animating glory, nave and spokes of the sun wheel, hero's crown, radiant eye, a broom, a whip, and flowing hair, have to do with one another? Unless one considers Talbott's image of the planet Venus, with the orb of Mars at its center, radiating its gases outward across the face of Saturn, or the planet's cometary aspect as a raging goddess, these mythic themes make no sense. But, as Talbott warns, scholars have consis-tently confused the symbol with the ...

... comparison to see if they might point to the nature of the upheavals." I found it very interesting that he agreed with both statements. And what do you think the astronomers Clube and Napier have done? Do you really want to say they would have a case for anything if they had to exclude the great myths of the world? And is Fred Hoyle also crazy for supporting the conclusions from this methodology? Even Carl Sagan and Nancy Druyan, in their book Comet, notice the prevalence of an ancient symbol, the swastika, and propose a celestial origin of the symbol. It was a rotating comet spewing streams of gas into surrounding space, they say. Now are you going to tell me that this armchair speculation is okay, but work actually exploring the recurring contexts of that symbol (all of the contexts ignored by Sagan and Druyan) doesn't count as evidence? Give Velikovsky a break, and credit him with having discerned a key to discovery. Notice that even Duncan Steele, in his book on comets and rogue asteroids, urges scientists ...

... occurred some 3.2 million years ago. To my surprise, he predicted that the current Mars-lander would find the pyramid-like objects to be artificial in nature, the apparent product of extraterrestrials who were wiped out when the nearby planet exploded. In addition to Wal's contribution, it should also be pointed out that CJ Ransom also has training in plasma physics and that he has performed experiments which bear directly on the subject of Venus' ancient appearance. Subsequently, I recall reading in Sagan's Cosmos about actual comets that have been observed to present a swastika form when directly overhead. Dr. Ransom has actually witnessed plasmas changing forms from a three-spoked to four-spoked and swastika-like forms." 11 Jan 1997, Ev Cochrane The event was a great success. We had a Friday night crowd of over 400 and a full 3-day registration crowd of over 120. There were 3 film crews on hand to document the event and Laura Lee arrived on Sunday to conduct radio interviews for her talk show. William Mullen and Roger Wescott stood out in my mind for their energetic and erudite presentations. ...
