What is Catastrophism! Online
A selection of publications that promote modern catastrophism and revised ancient history.
What is modern catastrophism?
The idea that the Earth has been subjected to global cosmic catastrophes during mankind's history, and documented in ancient traditions and histories.
What is revised ancient history?
The idea that ancient history may require revision, partly due to taking a fresh approach to the subject, and partly due to the evidence of catastrophists. See the overview of the subject by John Crowe "The Revision of Ancient History - A Perspective".
What topics are covered?
Dozens! But some of them include the following:
Ancient history revisions and dating methods
The "stability" of the Solar System
The origins and history of religion
Rock art & mythology as a historic record and
the subsequent origin of symbols, words and linguistics
The role of plasma in the universe
The long-term trauma of catastrophes
The cause of evolution, and its rate of change
What does it cost?
You can access individual journals and books for very little, or the entire library of publications for just a little more. The exact costs can be seen on the sign-up page.
What else then??
There is much more to discover. For example:
There are millions of examples of rock art throughout the world, but why are certain patterns common.
There are many examples of megaliths (large pre-historic stone constructions). But why did the ancient spend so much effort creating pyramids and stone circles such as Stonehenge?
Why do ancient traditions features so many common themes, such as those of creation, destruction, dragons, snakes and cosmic imagery?
We are most familiar with plasmas (an ionized gas) in the form of lightning, flames and neon signs. We are perhaps less familiar with plasma in aurora, the Sun's corona, interstellar Space and nebula. Plasmas can also form "instabilities" whose shapes are quite specific, and closely match pattern found in rock art.
The Solar System shows evidence of cosmic catastrophes, but did it all happen millions of years ago, or do ancient traditions suggest more recent events?
Ancient history and the sciences are wrong then?
Most of history and science are well-known. But much of what we are taught we take for granted. For example, we all know that:
Marconi invented the radio
The Wright Brothers made the first powered flight
Yuri Gagarin was the first person in space
Cold water freezes faster than hot water
Like charges always repel one another
The Sun has a North and South magnetic pole
The laws of physics are unbreakable
...except that, ever single statement is probably wrong:
The Supreme Court overturned Marconi's patent in 1943 in favor of Nikola Tesla. [More]
Gustave Whitehead probably made the first powered flight two years before the Wright Brothers. [More]
It is quite likely that Russian cosmonaut Sergei Vladimir Ilyushin, Jr. beat Gargarin into space by five days. [More]
Under some circumstances, cold water freezes slower than hot water, a phenomenon known as the the Mpemba effect. [More]
Like charges somes attract one another [More] [More]
In March 2000, the Sun's South magnetic pole disappeared for a month. [More]
The so-called Second Law of Thermodynamics, was found to be untrue in 2002. [More]
