... a lifelong course in advanced nutrition, organic chemistry, and atmospheric science. Then he read into myth and legend, and there was no stopping him. In every picture he discovered fresh signs. Aside from his personal qualities, he could connect with the more than ordinary number of students there who had heard everything good about God and the Bible at home, but nothing at all, if not bad, about these subjects in "education." Even only to hear the Bible being used as a learning tool was exciting to them. One should recall, too, how low the estate of physics had fallen. We find our Dean of science reporters, Walter Sullivan of ...

... the physical history of the ancient world shows the Greek historians were essentially right: archaeology sites show that there are four main settlement periods between Alexander and the Stone Age. Calling these periods by different names in different sites resulted in an inflated chronology that- mirabile dictu- just happens to correspond with Biblical dating. This inflated chronology began when Bible dates were applied to Greek historical periods, resulting in dark ages and phantom empires (i .e . the Chaldeans were dated to the -3rd millennium and called "Chaldeans"). George Bass is a brilliant scholar, but I bet he has never questioned the accepted chronology. Dendrochronology or C14 dating can't change the basic stratigraphical sequence ...
